Transitioning from a military to a civilian career can be a daunting task, leaving many veterans feeling unsupported. However, there are numerous resources available to assist veterans in achieving success as IT professionals. The IT industry offers a promising career path for former service members, as the skills and experience gained during military service can easily translate to the ever-evolving field of technology. Additionally, high demand for IT professionals provides veterans with a stable and rewarding career path.

One such resource for veterans is the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) VETTECH program, which offers training and certification in various IT fields, as well as job placement assistance. Syracuse University’s Onward to Opportunity program also provides veterans with IT training, certification, career coaching, and networking opportunities. Microsoft’s Software and Systems Academy for veterans offers training and certification in Microsoft technologies, as well as job placement assistance.

In summary, veterans possess the skills and experience that make them well-suited for a career in IT, and have access to various programs and resources that provide training, certification, and job placement assistance to ensure success in the field.
